Prisoner throws urine and faeces at prison officer

The male prisoner who threw a foul mixture of faeces and urine at a female prison officer has received an extra 30 months behind bars after admitting to his crime.

29-year-old Levi Washington Farrier threw the bottle full of the gross mixture whilst imprisoned at HMP Doncaster on Tuesday 5 January of this year.

South Yorkshire Police have revealed that the man was taken to Sheffield Crown Court.

Farrier reportedly grew angry at the officer when he was told he was not allowed to go into the yard with the rest of the inmates after previously breaching the rules.

In his anger, he tipped the bottle’s contents onto her head twice.

Farrier reportedly admitted in court to administering a noxious substance.

He also admitted to three counts of criminal damage which took place in December last year.

He received his sentencing at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday 4 October.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hiscock, from SYP’s Prison Crime Unit, said: “This was a disgusting incident, which saw a prison officer assaulted as she was doing her job.

“I am pleased the sentence handed down by the court reflects the seriousness of the offence, and illustrates that this sort of vile behaviour will not be tolerated.”

John Hewitson, Serco Prison Director at HMP Doncaster said: “We do not tolerate this kind of revolting behaviour.

“It is completely unacceptable and we have worked closely with South Yorkshire Police to support their prosecution.

“We will always do everything we can to support our officers, who carry out a challenging role in looking after the prisoners.”
