By Man in “serious condition” following alleged assault on Blundell Avenue
At around 4am today (Tuesday 2 November), a man sustained serious injuries following an alleged assault on Blundell Avenue in Cleethorpes.
The victim of the alleged attack was subsequently taken to hospital to receive treatment, where he remains in a serious condition, according to police.
Officers were called to the scene, and a cordon remains in place today while CSI officers conduct investigations.
Now, Humberside Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the alleged incident, or has information about what took place, to come forward.
Neighbourhood Chief Inspector David Stephenson from Humberside Police said: “I want to reassure the local residents that we are doing all we can to find those responsible for this incident.
“There will be a cordon in place to protect the area while our scenes of crime officers conduct their work.
“I know this will be worrying for people living in the area and our neighbourhood officers will be in the area today to provide reassurance to the community.
“I would appeal for anyone with information that would help with our enquiries to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 16/108179/21.”
