Christmas bin collection dates for North East Lincolnshire
North East Lincolnshire Council is reminding households that their waste bins and recycling collection dates change during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Some households will have their bins or boxes emptied on a different day than they usually do.
The Christmas calendar and recycling leaflet will be arriving in letterboxes this week inside the Winter Brochure.
More than one date might be listed during the Christmas and New Year holidays on the online calendar.
Please put your bin or box out before 7 am on the first date listed.
The Council said they aim to take your waste or recycling on the first day listed, but if not they will be back on one of the following days.
Cllr Stewart Swinburn, portfolio holder for environment and transport, said: “Waste and recycling collection dates change during the Christmas holiday. Please remind your neighbours, it’s easy to forget.
“The easiest way to check your dates is to visit www.nelincs.gov.uk/bins– external site.
“On average, about 5,000 people check the online calendar every day. It’s the most popular page on our website, with 271,000 views in the last 12 months.
“We’re also sending a leaflet to households in the borough to let people know about the changes.
“The booklet also includes an illustrated guide to your bins, as well as information about the Community Recycling Centres and our bulky waste service.”

“Please be patient. Our staff will do everything they can to cope with the extra demand, but the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and other problems such as bad weather could cause some disruption.”
If the crews don’t get to you on the dates listed, please take in your bins or boxes and put them out before 7 am the next collection day.
