Humberside Police officers convicted of nine serious offences

Between 2016 and 2020, Humberside Police officers were convicted of nine serious offences, including assault and sexual offences, Planet Radio reported.

Figures revealed that police officers were also convicted of fraud, possession of offensive weapons and perverting the course of justice.

According to Greatest Hits Radio, the range of crimes committed by past officers include sexual offences, common assault, possession of an offensive weapon, perverting the course of justice, driving whilst over the prescribed limit and fraud.

Humberside Police told the radio station that all the police officers convicted were dismissed from their jobs and no longer work for the force.

The Head of Professional Standards, Detective Superintendent Matt Baldwin, revealed his high standards for the force’s professionalism.

He told Greatest Hits Radio: “We will not tolerate any conduct, whether that be on duty or in an officer’s or staff member’s personal life, that fails to uphold the high standards we expect or poses a threat to our communities.

“We carry out full and thorough investigations into any allegation made against an officer or staff member and where there is evidence of offences being committed arrests and court proceedings will follow.”
