Grimsby man charged with seven offences relating to burglary
A man from Grimsby who appeared at court this morning (5 January) faces charges in relation to one burglary and six attempted burglaries.
The 52-year-old man was charged over incidents that occurred on 3 January.
Nicholas Birkett of Carnforth Cresent, Grimsby was charged over attempted break-ins that were reported at a number of properties in the Cambridge Road area of Grimsby.
In the one incident of burglary, he allegedly entered a property and stole a mobile phone along with a jewellery box.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A 52-year-old man is in court this morning facing charges in relation to one burglary and six attempted burglaries in Grimsby earlier this week.
“Nicholas Birkett of Carnforth Cresent, Grimsby was charged last night, Tuesday 4 January, with one count of burglary and six counts of attempted burglary.
“He was remanded in custody over night to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court this morning, Wednesday 5 January.
“The charges relate to multiple incidents on Monday, 3 January, when attempted break-ins were reported at a number of properties in the Cambridge Road area of Grimsby. In one incident someone entered a property and a mobile phone and a jewellery box were allegedly stolen. “
