Double murder trial begins today
Daniel Boulton, 30, who has denied murdering his ex-partner and her nine-year-old child in Louth last year, is set to face trial beginning today.
The defendant, of Alexandra Road, Skegness, is accused of stabbing Bethany Vincent, 26, and her son Darren Henson at a residential property in High Holme Road.
The incident occurred on the 31st of May 2021.
Emergency services including police and paramedics were called to the scene at 8:29pm the same day.
Ms Vincent and her son were sadly pronounced dead at the scene, and were confirmed to have suffered multiple stab wounds.
Another young child was also found uninjured at the property, according to Lincolnshire Police.
Boulton has also denied assaulting a police officer with intent to resist arrest when authorities finally caught up with him in the Hubbards Hill area on the 1st of June.
Boulton’s trial is due to begin today, Thursday the 13th of January.
Proceedings are expected to last up to four weeks.
