Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League sees huge wins this week

This week’s Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League sees massive wins as multiple teams come together for a healthy competition.

Last week’s quarter finals results can be found here.

The results for this week’s games are below:

The Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League kicked off with Showmans Army going level on points with venue rivals Fu Cue, following their 8-4 win at home against Broughton Club.

The hosts started off slowly, trailing 4-2 at the interval.

However, a clean sweep in the second set ensured their eleventh win of the season.

The Showmans derby went in favour of Chaos this time around as they managed an 8-5 ‘away’ win against the Cobras.

The Tuesday Pool League also saw Division-2-champions Back In Black Beauty earn a good away draw against Beacon to keep their survival hopes alive.

Division 2 proved to be as close as can be for another week with all four results being very tight.

The League leaders won 7-5 against bottom-side Mulligans Tight Rack, demonstrating how close the division is.

A mere 23 points separates both these sides following Tuesday’s pool games.

RAOB stay in second, beating fourth-placed Cocked Hat B 7-5, whilst Brumby Hall look to bounce back to the top flight on the first attempt with a 7-5 win against last season’s division 3 runners up, Showmans Improvers.

Division 5 and team KO plate double winners Ashby Crown A scored the most comprehensive victory, winning 8-4 against Messingham Crown.

Las Dachshunds were in majestic form during Tuesday’s pool game as they won 12-1.

Local rugby star Woody marginally fell short for the away side in frame 8 which would have completed a whitewash for the division 3 leaders.

Beacon Rat Outcasts maintain their position in second, winning 9-4 in style against Pig & Whistle.

Winterton Jubilee kept up the momentum for a promotion spot, drawing 6-6 with Showmans Hitmen.

Meanwhile, Liberal club did their survival hopes a world of good by winning 8-5 against Comet.

Fedoras Z were the main beneficiaries this round in division 4, following an excellent 9-3 win against Talbot.

This moves them just five points behind top spot with two games in hand.

The promotion race will be going to the wire for this season’s pool league.

Second-placed Chancel won 8-5 away against Mulligans Madness and fourth-placed Harry’s Bar drew 6-6 against division-6-champions Brigg Town FC.

Old Farmhouse appears to be within touching distance of the division 5 title this season.

This week, they won 9-4 away against league-newcomers Roxy Rack ‘Em.

Promotion hopefuls Mulligans Youth (second place) and Schnapps A (third place) played out a 6-6 draw, with Jolly Sailor and Mill Road also drawing their double header tie.

Mulligans Young Ones could win the division 6 league title with a game to spare.

Along with division 1 side Showmans Army, they are the only unbeaten side this season.

This week, they managed an excellent 10-2 win at home against Grosvenor.

Promotion hopefuls Black Beauty B drew 6-6 to Beacon Rats whilst Ashby Crown managed a decent 9-4 win against Frod Road Club.

In division 7, league leaders Showmans Hornets took a giant step to possibly securing the league title, winning 9-3 against local rivals Schnapps Retro.

Foxhills Club cannot be ruled out of the title race, however.

Despite trailing by 11 points, they have a game in hand on the top spot.

This week, they came away from Schnapps Reloaded with a 6-6 draw.

Third-placed Schnapps Elite are once against finishing the season very brightly as they won 10-2 against Mulligans Madness this week.
