Police update after second body found on Hainton Avenue
Humberside Police have issued an update after a body was tragically discovered on Hainton Avenue in Grimsby on Tuesday evening.
This is the second body to have been found in a property on the street within 24 hours.
Officers say they were called to the scene at around 8:30pm following calls from a member of the public regarding a concerns for the safety of the property occupant.
Now, the force has stated that the cause of death is currently unknown, and that the death is being treated as unexplained.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called at 8.30pm on Tuesday 25 January to a property on Hainton Avenue in Grimsby following reports of a concern for safety.
“When officers arrived at the property sadly the body of a man was found.
“The man’s death is unexplained at this time and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of his death.”
Despite both bodies being found within a close proximity and timescale, the incidents are not thought to be connected.
