Unlicensed driver in New Waltham collision

Police were called to New Waltham, Grimsby, last night, Saturday 29 January, following reports of a collision.

On arrival, officers discovered that a red Vauxhall Astra had crashed into a parked vehicle.

The male driver was quickly found to be driving without insurance and without a licence.

He has now been reported for a number of driving offences, including driving without due care and attention.

Fortunately nobody was injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for the Humberside Police wrote:

“What a dis-Astra!

“This red object which once resembled a Vauxhall Astra was being driven this evening by a male who had no license.

“There is a good reason why a driving test is required to be able to drive on the UKs roads… given the fact the driver crashed into a parked car!

“Driver has been reported for no license, no insurance and driving without due care and attention.

“The vehicle has also been recovered.

“Thankfully, no injuries and the driver blew zero on the road side breath test.”
