Residents asked to be involved in annual SEND survey

Residents of North East Lincolnshire are being asked to share their experiences of services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the area.

The SEND Annual survey helps North East Lincolnshire Council to analyse feedback to manage it’s services.

Councillor Iain Lindley, portfolio holder for children and education at North East Lincolnshire Council, said:

“The SEND Annual Survey is crucial to informing what services area available in our patch and what those services offer.

It’s an opportunity for us to learn from the experiences of those who have used our services.”

“I would urge parents to take a look at the survey and share their experiences so we can continue to improve.”

These surveys are for families with children who have special needs or need special educational requirements.

The survey is open to parents, carers and young people/children in the local area.

“For 2022, the existing aggregated level SEN2 collection is compulsory for all local authorities. The person level SEN2 collection is voluntary and will run along side it.”.

The survey collects information on statements of special educational needs and education, health and care plans.

The applications can be accessed using your DFE (Department For Education) login details.

Parents and carers can access the survey at: https://send2022parent.questionpro.eu– external site

Children and young people can access the survey at: https://send2022yp.questionpro.eu– external site

The deadline for submitting data is Thursday 3rd March 2022.
