Grimsby bring back grassroots offer for Aldershot clash

The Mariners are bringing back are reintroducing an offer for junior teams and grassroots teams to bring up to 20 kids to the game for free.

Grimsby had the offer on for Great Grimsby Day when Town sadly lost 2-1 to Bromley, but the kids enjoyed themselves and offered a funny side to the game on social media.

On 22 January, over 700 grassroots football team members and kids club members from the local community took advantage of the offer.

The overwhelming success of the deal is why the club have decided to bring it back, with an extra incentive for returnees.

Those who took advantage of the deal previous deal will be able to get their adult tickets half price, similar to their previous offer for half price tickets for key workers.

Up to 20 junior players/members from local grassroots or kids clubs will be able to watch Grimsby play Aldershot for free on 12 February, with a minimum of four paying adults in the Osmond Stand.

Adults from returning clubs will only have to pay £10 per adult ticket – half of the standard £20 ticket other adults will have to pay.

Aldershot are not flying high in the league like Bromley, so if anyone was deterred from returning to Blundell Park by the disappointing defeat on Great Grimsby Day, this game should provide a better experience and a much-needed win for The Mariners.
