Lia Nici appointed as Private Secretary to Boris Johnson

Grimsby MP Lia Nici has been appointed as Private Secretary to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, it has been announced.

This comes after the Prime Minister reshuffled his Cabinet this afternoon, following a number of resignations.

The Conservative MP has confirmed the news via Twitter this evening.

She wrote: “I was honoured today to be appointed by the Prime Minister to be one of his PPSs.”

Nici has continually offered Boris Johnson her ‘wholehearted support’ through the ongoing lockdown party scandal, referring to him as the ‘best’ Prime Minister in generations.
