Former Hull and Grimsby Town footballer Geoff Barker has died
Ex Hull City and Grimsby Town defender, Geoff Barker, 73, has sadly passed away.
Barker came through the Hull Schoolboys system in the early 1960s, before signing his first professional contract with Hull City.
He made 32 appearances and scored 2 goals during his time at Hull City.
After Barker left Hull, he had brief spells at Southend and Darlington before he transferred to Grimsby Town.
Geoff Barker ended his professional career with Grimsby in 1979.
In a tweet, Hull City said they were “saddened” to learn of Barker’s passing and their thoughts were with his family.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Geoff Barker.
Geoff scored two goals in 32 appearances for the Tigers between 1967 and 1971.
