Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre agree on out-of-court settlement
New court documents show that Prince Andrew has settled the US court sexual abuse case against him.
Miss Viginia Giuffre alleged that the Prince sexually assaulted her on three seperate ocassions when she was 17.
The Duke of York’s legal team have even pushed back a widely circulated photograph featuring Prince Andrew, Virginia Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell, as evidence of them having ever met.
His legal team said: “Prince Andrew lacks sufficient information to admit or deny the allegation that there exists photographic evidence of his alleged meeting with Giuffre.”
He has consistently denied all the allegations against him.
A document was submitted to the US court today stating that the pair had agreed on an out-of-court settlement.
The document stated that the Prince would make a “substantial donation to Ms Giuffre’s charity”.
It added that Prince Andrew “never intended to malign Ms Giuffre’s character” and that he recognised she had “suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks”.
The duke also pledged to “demonstrate his regret for his association” with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein by supporting the “fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims”.
He also commended the “bravery of Ms Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others”.
