Promotion hopefuls announce new signing
Grimsby Town have announced a new signing with hopes to strengthen their roster as they battle for League Two football next season.
The Mariners took to their social media platforms yesterday to confirm that Tranmere Rovers striker, Emmanuel Dieseruvwe would be joining the club on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old forward signed for Tranmere Rovers in the summer of 2021 after an impressive four years at Salford City.
In a statement released by Grimsby Town, Dieseruvwe said: “To be fair, I am absolutely buzzing to be coming here”
The Rovers man added that he was “itching” to get more game time with a club like Grimsby.
The news that Emmanuel Dieseruvwe would be joining the club follows injury concerns amongst the Mariners attack.
Town boss, Paul Hurst had confirmed his attack obtained injuries during midweek training in addition to the news that John-Lewis would be loaned out to York City.
Although the severity of the injuries is unknown, Hurst’s decision to bring in Dieseruvwe indicates that he will be getting game time.
In a tweet, Dieseruvwe said he was “excited” and “grateful” for the opportunity and looks “forward to the challenges ahead”
Emmanuel Dieseruvwe joins a dangerous Black and White army who are now unbeaten in four matches.
Here’s hoping that Dieseruvwe will bag himself a couple of goals and help Town challenge for promotion.
