Former Humberston holiday park undergoes major revamp
The former Tertia Trust site on South Sea Lane, Humberston is currently undergoing a major renovation project.
The site was previously used as a holiday centre for ‘disadvantaged children’ is now being expanded and rebuilt by the owners of Thorpe Park Holiday Centre.
There are plans to install 51 caravans on the site.
The site was taken over by North East Lincolnshire Council in 2014, after they acquired a £65,000 start-up grant to repurpose the site.
Bourne Leisure, who owns Thorpe Park in Cleethorpes, took back the lease some time later after the project failed to take off.
The remaining buildings have since been demolished and an access road is under construction.
It is thought that the site will be connected to the main Thorpe Park site.
This update follows the development of a controversial ‘adventure park’ at Thorpe Park.
No time frame has been given for the project.
Updates to follow.
