Air ambulance called after incident at railway bridge

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance were called yesterday after an incident reportedly took place near the Cleethorpe Road railway bridge.

Police, fire, and ambulance paramedics were also on the scene.

The incident was between Railway Street and Prince Albert Gardens, Grimsby.

According to reports, the air ambulance landed on a derelict site formerly housing the multi-story flats.

Humberside Police tweeted: ” Cleethorpe Road westbound at the junction with Freeman Street and Lockhill roundabout is currently closed to allow emergency services to deal with an incident. Motorists are advised to avoid the area”.

Humberside Police have been contacted for a statement.
