By Council tax rebate for North East Lincolnshire residents
Residents in North East Lincolnshire could be eligible for a council tax rebate.
Householders in council tax brackets A to D will be able to claim a rebate of £150 from the middle of May.
It is hoped that the rebate will ease the rising cost of living. The £150 rebate will not have to be repaid.
Residents who pay their council tax by direct debit will receive the first tranche of payments. The money should start to appear in your bank account from mid-May onwards.
Those who do not pay by direct debit can sign up “quickly and easily” over the phone, the council have said.
Alternatively, you can complete a form found on the council’s website and email it to counciltax@nelincs.gov.uk
If you pay your council tax by other methods, you will be contacted with information on how you can claim the rebate.
