Yellow weather warning for Northern Lincolnshire
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for North and North East Lincolnshire.
The warning comes into force today (Thursday 31 March) from 9 pm until 10 am tomorrow (Friday 1 April).
The yellow warning for ice comes after northern parts of the country experienced two inches of snow in the past few days.
According to the report, snow and hail showers could lead to icy surfaces, with possible travel disruption.
The Met Office said: “Wintry showers will continue overnight Thursday and into Friday leading to icy patches, particularly on untreated surfaces. Some accumulations of snow are also possible, particularly across eastern Scotland and hillier areas of northeast England.
“1-3 cm accumulations are possible mainly above 200 m, with 5 cm over parts of Scotland, Northumberland, and the North York Moors above 300 m. The odd covering is possible to lower levels but this is likely to be short-lived.”
