Cleethorpes ‘Tower Blocks’ land goes on the market

Cleethorpes ‘Tower Blocks’ land goes on the market

The site of the former Clifton Bingo hall in Grant Street, Cleethorpes.

The location was previously showcased for a ‘One Cleethorpes’ project that would have seen three 9, 11, and 13 storey buildings erected.

It would have seen the buildings dominate the skyline, which brought its controversy.

The land is now up for sale for £2.5 Million, showcasing an “Exciting opportunity to acquire this prime parcel of land”.

It also suggests an ‘Oven ready scheme’ that would come with the purchase, with questions raised on why the site has been left dormant.

The Pygott & Crone listing says: ” An exciting opportunity to acquire this prime parcel of land extending in the region of 0.25 ha (0.62 Acres), with reserved matters consent for the development for 3 buildings comprising 30, 33, and 36 apartments and totaling c.8,400 sq m, as well as 800 sq m of commercial accommodation. The development is of very impressive design, with the majority of apartments benefiting from highly sought-after sea views”.

Previous developer Cielo Realty Ltd has not made any further statements on the land since.

It would see a dramatic change for the skyline of Cleethorpes, as the recently completed Suggitts Lane footbridge has residents’ views altered, also with a proposed multi-story car park for Grant street, this could bring about a significant change for the area.
