Police arrive at popular Cleethorpes restaurant

Police have arrived on the scene at a popular bar and restaurant in Cleethorpes following reports of an ongoing incident.

Issues are reported to have begun when enforcement notices were placed on the windows of Arthur’s House on Sea View Street early this morning, Monday 4th of April.

According to eyewitnesses, three men were spotted arriving a short while later.

One of the men pasted an image to cover the enforcement notices, which stated that the occupants “right to occupy the premises has been brought to an end and the premises have been secured.”

The letter continues: “Further take note that no person may lawfully enter onto these premises unless they have been authorised by the Landlords/Agents to do so.

“Any attempt by any person to enter these premises without the Landlord/Agents previous authority could amount to a criminal offence and may result in prosecution.”

Another was seen breaking the window in the front door in order to enter the property.

Police officers arrived on scene soon after and remain on the scene where the window is now being replaced.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We were called to a disturbance on Sea View Street at 1135 today.

“It was found the incident was a civil matter.”

Updates to follow.
