CCTV released after homophobic attack at Grimsby Town train station
British Transport Police have released CCTV footage after a homophobic attack in Grimsby.
It is reported that on February 14 at roughly 6 pm, rail staff approached two people sitting on a bench at Grimsby Town train station.
The member of staff asked to check the pair’s tickets when homophobic comments were made toward her.
Officers believe that the people in the CCTV footage could help them with their investigation.
A spokesperson for BTP said: “Do you recognise these people?
“Officers investigating a homophobic incident at Grimsby station are today releasing this image in connection.
“At around 6 pm on 14 February, a member of rail staff approached two people sitting on a bench at the station and asked to inspect their tickets.
“The pair then made homophobic comments towards her.
“Officers believe the man and woman in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
“If you recognise them, or have any information, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 468 of 14/02/22.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
