GTFC to end sponsorship deal with Young’s Seafood

According to reports Grimsby Town Football Club will not be using them as a sponsor.

They have allegedly ended their partnership with Young’s Seafood, they have been partners for around 18 years.

From reports, Young’s wanted to carry on the deal however the club has decided to search for new opportunities.

Young’s CEO, Simon Smith provided a statement:

“Grimsby Town Football Club has confirmed that it will be progressing with a new key sponsor for the 2022/23 season, replacing Young’s Seafood. While our desire was to continue as the primary sponsor, following discussions with the new owners we respect their decision and direction for the club and wish them every success in the future.

“Young’s has been a sponsor of Grimsby Town for 18 years, making it one of the longest running shirt sponsors in the league and we are immensely proud of what we achieved together. As a business, alongside many of our employees, we remain avid supporters of the team and will retain close links to the club continuing to support its wider work in the community.”

GTFC have provided a statement, It reads:

“ Grimsby Town Football Club wishes to thank Young’s Seafood for the support they have given to the Club for the last 18 years.  As part of the Club’s commitment to Young’s employees, we will continue to honour the discounts that their staff currently receive for the next 12 months.  We look forward to being able to work with Young’s again in the future and wish the business every success”.
