Man jailed for murdering London teacher

A man has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 36 years for the murder of primary school teacher Sabina Nessa.

Sabina Nessa’s body was found near her home in Kidbrooke.

According to reports, the man drove to London to attack a ‘stranger’.

Koci Selamaj, 36, murdered Ms. Nessa in a park in Kidbrooke, southeast London in September 2021.

Allegedly, CCTV footage showed the man striking her over the head, then carrying her away unconscious.

He also strangled her and tried to hide her body.

According to reports, the garage worker from Eastbourne, travelled to London intending to assault a random woman.

The court heard information about the man being estranged from his wife.

Ms. Nessa was found almost 24 hours later near a community centre in the park.

She taught a year one class at Rushey Green Primary School in Catford.
