Winterton Co-op cordoned off after shutters rammed in suspected robbery

The Co-operative shop in Winterton has been cordoned off today after a reported raid saw shutters rammed.

Two other Co-op shops were targeted this month alone, with one attempted robbery taking place on April 4 near Sleaford and another on March 25 in Ancaster.

According to reports, this incident was an attempted robbery in which the culprits attempted to take the cash machine.

The attempt has left the shutters badly damaged, leaving locals shocked and scared.

One person wrote: “Things will only get worse as people are struggling. It’s so concerning.”

Another said: “Goodness how disgraceful! Hope they get caught!”

Humberside Police have been contacted for a comment.
