Another goose rescued by Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue
Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue has carried out its vital work over the weekend, looking out for the local wildlife that may need intervention.
The volunteer-based service covers a variety of animals in the area, that may be in need or have requirements.
The group regularly posts to social media showing the work they carry out and the animals they help.
On Sunday, multiple animals were reported including a Deer that was rescued, however, on this occasion, another Goose needed help after receiving an injury.
They regularly receive tip-offs by the general public and messaging mentioning animals that may need assistance.
On social media, they posted about the rescue that happened on Sunday:
“This is one of two geese at Cleethorpes Boating Lake that has been on our list of captures!
“This barnacle goose looks to have had a crash landing and is now receiving emergency care to help with the injury and infection!
“We will keep coming back to capture the other one (with the injured leg)! If you so see an injured bird/animal at your local park/lake, please avoid feeding it so that it’s more likely to come up to rescuers.
“This all is very costly for the rescue and we’re very quickly running out of the funds to be able to carry on so if you’re able to, please donate the link below – All the team is volunteers so 100% of your donation will go to lifesaving equipment, treatment, feeds, etc!.”
A member of the public commented on the post thanking the group for ‘Their hard work’ in rescuing the animals.
