Humberside Police officers attended a violent disturbance in Scunthorpe last night (4 May), the force said.
Officers attended reports of an ongoing disturbance last night on Selby Court, Scunthorpe.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
Additionally, the unnamed male was wanted for a separate count of criminal damage and assault.
During his arrest, the 27-year-old became increasingly violent towards the arresting officers.
Humberside Police stated the perpetrator was taken to hospital for an injury sustained prior to their arrival. He was then aggressive towards the officers and hospital staff as they attempted to treat him.
Subsequently, he was charged with two counts of assault on an emergency worker after he tried to headbutt a police officer and spat at another.
He was also charged with criminal damage, possession of a class B drug (cannabis), and racially aggravated public order towards a nurse.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before the next available court.
