Exciting Scunthorpe careers fest begins today!

Scunthorpe will host an exciting careers fest this afternoon.

North Lincolnshire Council will throw a careers fest this afternoon for people seeking career help, training guidance, and upskilling opportunities.

Furthermore, food stalls, live music, and additional activities will be available!

The event will take place today between 1pm to 4pm at UCNL on Ashby Road and in Central Park – you do not need to book in advance.

The council stated there will be “dozens of businesses and organisations” in attendance, dedicated to supporting your careers journey.

Those who attend will be able to enjoy a free climbing wall, bungee run, assault course, and even a rodeo bull.

Food stalls will be serving fresh pizza, doughnuts, and Scunthorpe speciality, dutty fries.

The council said this event is perfect for over 13s and their families. It is also a great opportunity for those looking to return to education or seeking a career change.

Adam Hewitt, Director of Higher Education with responsibility for employability at UCNL, said:

“At University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL) we’re committed to helping people from our local area take the next steps to further their career”

“A big part of that is through education but it’s also about working with employers and partners, such as the Council, to show people what opportunities are available”, he added.

“We are delighted to be hosting this major career event, with so many employers signed up to helping people succeed”

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to UCNL and supporting them to take the next steps in finding the job, or course that they are looking for”
