Won one, lost one! Will Town claim victory in Wales?
Grimsby Town have already beat Wrexham this year, can they emulate their winning ways?
After defeating a stubborn Notts County side on Monday (23 May) in an incredible 2-1 comeback victory, the Mariners booked their place in the play-off semi-finals.
The Black and White Army will travel to Wales where they will face Wrexham, a side who finished 2nd in the National League.
The Dragons only picked up eight defeats in league, the second-best win-loss record this year.
However, Grimsby were one of the sides who did manage to claim three points following a 3-1 win at Blundell Park in September.
In the reverse fixture, the Welsh side narrowly won at home thanks to a single goal from Ollie Palmer.
The Mariners had to dig deep against County to progress into Saturday’s clash, despite being the better side overall.
Two late goals overturned the result as defeat looked inevitable. Holohan equalised in the 96th minute to take the game into extra time. Dieseruvwe was able to seal victory just before penalties would have decided Grimsby’s fate.
Looking ahead towards Saturday, the Black and White Army will give it their all, as they always do!
Whilst some fans may be concerned over fitness and recovery after Monday, others will use the comeback victory as inspiration to cheer their team on.
