Grimsby Town announce ‘iconic’ club sponsor ahead of new season!
Grimsby Town Football Club have partnered with a leading local business in the renewable energy sector.
Grimsby Town and myenergi will team up for an incredibly special three-year sponsorship deal, a move that radiates community development, Grimbarian pride, and most importantly, the love of the beautiful game!
Although headquartered in Stallingborough, myenergi houses their manufacturing facilities in the heart of Grimsby and is one of the region’s fastest-growing companies and largest employer for locals.
Local football fans will be familiar with myenergi following their exciting relationship with Cleethorpes Town, a partnership that will continue alongside GTFC’s deal confirmed by Jordan Brompton, myenergi’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Earlier in the week Gi Grimsby News sat down with Jason Stockwood, Chairman of Grimsby Town F.C, Debbie Cook, Chief Executive & Board Member at Grimsby Town F.C, and Jordan Brompton, Chief Marketing Officer of myenergi, who kindly discussed their highly anticipated sponsorship announcement.
Speaking with a joyous smile on his face, Jason expressed his admiration for Jordan and myenergi, stating he was “delighted” to announce the partnership, adding:
“We are going to build a plan (with myenergi) to really think about what it means to be a successful business and a successful football team in creating a new narrative for a town like Grimsby”
Jason further explained his pride behind his newly announced relationship as he labelled myenergi a “global success story” in the centre of Grimsby.
Jordan emulated the GTFC Chairman’s excitement as she highlighted the motivation behind the deal.
“I’m a Grimsby girl and Lee’s a Grimsby guy. We got to know Debbie and Jason over the past couple of years and their plans for the club, and Jason and Debbie’s characters and their ethics that they are driving through the club just completely aligned with ours!”
“When Jason floated this idea to us of being the new shirt sponsor, I just jumped at the chance and knew I needed to make it work. I was just excited, I thought what an amazing opportunity”, she added.
Weighing in on the community aspect for this brand-new relationship, Debbie Cook said:
“The commitment to our community is something that Grimsby Town Football Club and myenergi share, and that is why this is such a positive partnership”
“We all understand the importance of the community of Grimsby, and we want to support that community – put the football club at the heart of the town, everybody wants that, we understand the importance of that. We want to be able to support people in Grimsby, and the surrounding areas, we share those values so that makes it a great long-term partnership”, she added.
Now that the deal has been officially announced, Mariners will soon be able to catch a glimpse of the brand-new myenergi branded jerseys – Mariner’s first team, academy and women’s team kits will all feature the company’s logo!
Debbie Cook confirmed the kits will be unveiled early next month, just in time for Town’s pre-season campaign!
