The action continues to please in the Tuesday Pool League

Showman’s Army remain the only unbeaten side in division 1 at the end of round five. The new league leaders dethroned Mulligans Trojans with an 8-4 victory. 

Fu Cue made massive ground up on the title race winning 11-2 at promoted side Redbourne Mods whilst Chaos also stay in the picture winning 8-5 at Beacon.  

Back In Black Beauty registered their first win of the season at Brumby Hall with an 8-5 win. Showman’s Cobras remain the only side without a win thus far as their poor run continued for a fifth week after losing at home to fifth placed Broughton Club Pirates.

Mulligans Majestic Sausage Dogs (pictured) are on course for a possible second straight league title as they came away from RAOB club with a 9-4 win. Only a point behind come Showman’s Improvers who scored big away at Ashby Crown winning 10-3.  

Cocked Hat surrendered the only remaining 100% start, losing away at promotion chasing Winterton Jubilee. Messingham Crown scored the biggest win of the week with a comfortable 10-2 win over Glenny’s Poachers. Mill Road Black Cats earned their third win of the campaign on their debut season winning 8-5 at Black Beauty.

Showman’s Spartans surge up the division 3 table this week with a whitewash victory away at Chancel Flyers. Joining them on 37 points are Fedoras who drew 6-6 at Cocked Hat. 

Beacon Rat Outcasts got one of the best results of the round at Old Farmhouse winning 10-3 to join the title picture in second place on 36 points whilst Mulligans Tight Rack did their bounce back to division 2 chances a world of good winning 8-5 at Liberal.  

Sixth placed Pig and Whistle are merely 3 points from the top spot. They won their third game of the season 8-4 against relegation threatened Harry’s Bar

Schnapps A lost their first game of the season, 7-5 at Broughton WMCA during round 5 but remain league leaders with a four-point cushion.  

Redbourne Madness missed the chance to capitalise, drawing 6-6 against Jolly Sailor. The sailors of Gunness remain in the relegation zone but can take pride in ending their 100% losing start to the season and will hope to push on.  

Mulligans Youth stay rooted to the bottom of the table losing 10-3 against Redbourne NnC. Bottesford Town Club A stay on course for promotion back to division 3 winning 8-4 against Chancel.

Showman’s Hornets maintain their place at the top of division 5 winning 7-5 at home to Beckwood whist title rivals Showman’s Young Ones and Mill Road Dynamite both managed narrow victories against Black Beauty B and Butchers of Winterton respectively.  

Talbot elevated themselves from the relegation zone all the way up to 6th position with a fantastic 12-1 win at Rock Rack Em. Joining Roxy in the bottom 2 are Mill Road B who lost their match 8-5 against fellow strugglers Ashby Crown B as both aim to avoid the dreaded drop.

There were no shocks at Harry’s Bar this week as league leaders Harriers won 8-4 against bottom side Scunthorpe Bowl. Schnapps Elite remaining in second but went down away at third placed Beckwood losing 8-4.  

Beacon Rats move up to fifth place with their second win of the season over fourth placed Foxhills Bulldogs 7-5. Mill Road DM pick up their first win of the season, 8-4 at home to Beacon B whilst Foxhills Club and Brumby Hall B share a draw with both aiming to pull away from the relegation zone.

Lord Roberts go top of division 7, winning 9-4 away at fellow title contenders Grosvenor. Schnapps Reloaded join Bobs at the top, inflicting the first defeat of the season onto third placed Mulligans Unique.  

Schnapps Retro B earned considerable respect from the pool community this week as they agreed to switch their home advantage to Milligans Spurs to allow the side predominantly consisting of under 18s to contest the tie.  

Retro B came away with an 8-4 win in the end. Retro A tasted defeat this week however, losing 8-5 at home to Bottesford Town B. Keadby Club move up to fifth with a 9-3 win over Priory as they hope to contest for the league title as the season continues
