Local extraordinaire George Kavanagh announces latest venture!

A local tireless charity worker and talent extraordinaire George Kavanagh, has announced his latest project, which is exciting for local musicians and talent.

George has decided to create his own talent agency, he says he already has a wide variety of acts ready to jump onto the agency.

Mr. Kavanagh regularly carries out charity work through a local charity, St Andrew’s Hospice, which facilitates George and other fundraisers.

Speaking more about his latest venture, George said: “The name is Oi Oi Entertainments, based on one of my dad’s old catchphrases for his New Waltham football team: “OI OI AA”.

“I was inspired by a local singer who I work closely with, and she half-jokingly said ages ago that I should set up an agency because that’s a better way of helping local acts than putting a gig on once in a blue moon for charity.

“I got it all officially done, I have a long list of local acts already and I’m just after the public to get in touch and book them!”.

As ever the selfless and hard-working George added: “Only thing I don’t want is people calling me a young entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs are independent and work on their own, whereas if this agency does well in the future, I have to thank the local music scene for it.”

George Kavanagh has also posted to his official social media page asking for sponsors for the ‘GPK Youth Acknowledgement Awards’.

In the post, sponsors are needed to support any of the six awards which include the event itself, taking place on Friday 25th November 2022.

“Local businesses we want you!

“We are currently looking for some businesses based in Grimsby and Cleethorpes to sponsor the upcoming inaugural ‘GPK Youth Acknowledgement Awards”.

A video was posted to the account stating more information about the charity drive.

“Any businesses that step up to sponsor this latest endeavour will be promoted between now and the awards ceremony on 25th November, with a couple of company representatives earning invitations to attend the ceremony at Grimsby Central Hall.”

It is understood the drive is through St Andrew’s Hospice, with the two regularly in unison.
