New GTFC shirt experiences ‘unprecedented’ demand

Grimsby Town’s new home strip for the upcoming 22/23 season has experienced “unprecedented” demand as fans continue their amazing support.

This week saw the epic launch of the new GTFC home shirt, a kit that has received universal love for its “classic style” and “smart appearance.”

Whilst Mariners will stay play their football in traditional black and stripes, new sponsor myenergi has their named branded across the chest of the new shirts, which again has received positive messages for the innovative green energy company.

Following the club’s incredible social media promotion of the rebranded home strip, the Mariners confirmed they had experienced “unprecedented sales” this weekend as shirt sales went live!

In a statement, Town said they had sold approximately double the “usual” number of shirts during the first two days compared to previous seasons, both online and in-store, adding:

“Almost 1,000 home shirts have been sold this weekend with only a few left to buy now (mainly junior sizes), until stock levels are replenished.

“We are expecting further deliveries of the home shirt in approximately 4 weeks and will keep those supporters desperately awaiting this fabulous shirt updated as to when they can get their hands on one! Our new training gear will be available to buy next weekend and our second kit launch is planned for the weekend of 16th & 17th July.”

Debbie Cook, Chief Executive said:

“On behalf of the Board, I’d like to, once again, thank all our fans for their continued support. At a time when we know that people in our communities are having to be more careful about how they spend their money, we are especially grateful to our supporters for their commitment to our Club; our fans are incredible. We are looking at options to increase the home capacity at Blundell Park and will keep our supporters informed accordingly.”
