By Clee Town to host GTFC this Saturday
The Owls will host newly promoted Grimsby Town at the myenergi stadium this Saturday (9 July).
After an incredible season for both local sides, the Mariners will take the short journey for their annual pre-season friendly against Cleethorpes Town.
Town gaffer, Paul Hurst will look to kick-start his teams’ pre-season campaign off with a bang, ahead of Town’s exciting return to Sky Bet League Two.
Meanwhile, the Owls experienced a record-breaking season after reaching the play-off semi-finals, which saw a packed stadium witness their amazing achievement.
Additionally, Dave Smith, the Owls boss, had recently extended his stay with the club which indicates his priorities going forward!
Both teams stated they were “pleased” to face-off against one another for an event that is set to whet the appetites of local footballing fans ahead of the new seasons respectively.
Although a friendly fixture by name, supporters from Clee Town and GTFC have snatched up tickets for the local clash, an event that is set to see yet another packed myenergi stadium!
