By Scunthorpe set for incredible pride event later this year!
An incredible pride event is coming later this year for Scunthorpe residents to enjoy.
Chris Barnes, also known by his drag name ‘Crystal Balls’, has opened up about his own pride journey which resulted in a fanatic event set for October.
Speaking to Gi Scunthorpe News, Chris stated he has been on an incredible journey over previous years after he stated dressing up over two years ago.
“At the age of 37, doing Drag has made me accept myself for who I am after bad influences in my life stopped me for being who I truly was,” Chris added.
Now, Chris, in collaboration with his business Seal the Deal Events, will host a fabulous pride themed event on Friday 14 October later this year!
Chris’ very first drag show will be held at the Redbourne Club with tickets on sale for as little as £5!
After experiencing some tough relationships in the past, Chris noted “the only way was up!”
After attending his very first pride in Manchester, Chris told how he felt complete and on his way to “acceptance.”
Shortly after, he began dressing up as a woman which had received an amazing response from friends online:
“I decided to dress up as a woman for the first time 2 years ago and I got such a huge loving reaction on social media. I’ve had quite a few transformations and I decide to incorporate this within my business to offer a Drag DJ.
“When I dress up, I feel very much free and liberated and able to express myself more than ever.”
The event will feature wonderful guest performances, a lip sync challenge, an amazing DJ set, amd much more!
