Police called to ‘mass disorder’ after weapons brandished in North Lincolnshire

Humberside Police were called to a “mass disorder” following reports of weapons being used in an altercation.

Last night (16 July), Humberside Police endured an extremely busy night shift, attending several incidents across North Lincolnshire and making numerous arrests.

Officers began their shift after being called out to a mass disorder in Barnetby after “weapons and assaults” were reported.

As weapons were believable to be involved, officers were quickly deployed in the area to eradicate the incident. It is understood that no victims were identified upon the police’s arrival.

Back at the station, one adult male was arrested for drink driving after blowing 95 in custody, an arrest that could have proved lifesaving if the intoxicated male got back behind the wheel.

Later into the night, a male was arrested for offences under the “Serious Crime Act.” Humberside Police confirmed the victim was safeguarded and is now being supported by partner agencies.

Then, offices managed to locate a missing person in North Lincolnshire, adding they were found “safe and well.”

In a separate mass disorder report, officers were called to the town Scunthorpe town centre after a large group where spotted smashing windows.

Subsequently, officers made multiple arrests and will conduct further investigations to identify all involved.

Before officers could head home for a well-deserved rest, an adult male was arrested after causing a 3-vehicle road traffic collision.

The male blew 104 at the roadside and was taken back to the station.

Following the updates, Humberside Police officers said:

“It’s been a pleasure looking after you all, we’ve got some lovely weather heading our way over the next few days which we’re going to enjoy on our days off.”
