Another large cannabis factory discovered after Scunthorpe raid
Humberside Police have uncovered another cannabis factory after a successful raid on a property in the town.
On Wednesday (20 July), Humberside Police officers located a large cannabis grow at a warrant at an address on Percival Street in Scunthorpe, resulting in one arrest.
Officers discovered around 65 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of over £32,000.
Humberside Police stated the occupants used two rooms of the property to grow the Class B drug.
The plants have now been seized along with a quantity of cash, added the force.
The discovery on Wednesday follows Humberside Police’s successful raid on Frodingham Road earlier this month, where a factory double the size was discovered.
In a statement, the force added:
“If you have any information about drug crime in your area please report it so that we can take appropriate action. You can do so by calling our non-emergency 101 line or 999 in an emergency.
Information can also be reported anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
