Criminal caught after double hit-and-run

Humberside Police officers managed to aphrehend a man involved in multiple vehicle-related incidents yesterday.

Officers spotted a vehicle which was associated with two accidents on Mill Road, and Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, the same day.

Once stopped, officers brethelised the male driver and discovered that he was three times over the legal limit.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol and failing to stop at the scene of two accidents.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police wrote: “A male has been placed under arrest by officers on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol and failing to stop at the scene of two accidents on Mill Road and Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, at approximately 15:30 – 15:45 hours today.

“He has given a roadside reading of over three times the legal limit.”
