By One Direction star gets camera ready for first role
There isn’t just One Direction for the stars of the band, as now, like bandmate Harry Styles, Zayn Malik is trying out his acting chops.
Zayn Malik has just accepted his first film role, according to Variety.
The 29-year-old singer-songwriter has joined a cast featuring Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley and three-time BAFTA winner Mo Gilligan, for the animated film ‘10 Lives’.
Derry Girl’s star Dylan Llewellyn and Sophie Okonedo of Hotel Rwanda fame are also set to voice characters in the new film.
Variety described 10 Lives as the story of a ‘pampered and selfish cat’ who receives the 10th life after wasting his first nine.
A few days prior, Malik shared a rare selfie on social media, the former One Direction star, 29, showed off his pink locks in a photo shared on social media.
Zayn showed his chest tattoos and a grey knitted cardigan worn open, with a chunky silver chain.
One commented: ‘I MISSED YOU MANNN LIKEE VERYY MUCHHH LIKEE SOO MUCHHHH LIKE YOU CAN’T IMAGINE.’
Another keen follower penned: ‘RELEASE NEW MUSIC PLEASE.’
Fans were eager to request more from the artist, following his third 2021 solo album, ‘Nobody Is Listening’.
