Popular dessert shop targeted by thieves
A popular dessert shop in Cleethorpes has been targeted by thieves on Halloween night.
Clee Shakes on Cleethorpes High Street was targeted between midnight and 8:45 am this morning when someone is believed to have broken into the premises.
According to reports, cash was taken from the shop and a number of items were left badly damaged or broken.
Clee Shakes shared the upsetting news on Facebook simply writing: “So, we might not be open on Thursday as expected! We are absolutely devastated.”
Humberside Police said: “Officers are investigating reports of a burglary at a business premises on High Street, Cleethorpes.
“It was reported that a person or persons had gained entry to a shop between midnight and 8:45am this morning (Tuesday 1 November).
“It is believed that cash was taken and a number of items were damaged.
“If anyone has information that may assist with our enquiries, you can contact us on 101, quoting log 95 of 1 November.”
