For many Christmas is a time for festive cheer, but it can also be a particularly hard time for people dealing with loneliness, money problems, and relationship or family problems.

Over the last few years establishments across Grimsby and Cleethorpes have been opening their doors to those affected on Christmas Day.Cafe Baraka in Cleethorpes has announced that it is once again offering a free Christmas meal to those in need this year.

Hundreds have responded positively to the plans, praising the ‘amazing selflessness’ of the owners and staff at Cafe Baraka.

Owner Oumar wrote: “Christmas can be a tough time of year for many people but this year things are looking really hard for so many more.

“Cafe Baraka will once again be open on Christmas Day offering a free hot festive lunch plus positive vibes to anyone who could use them.“No matter what your situation you are very welcome to join us. Don’t be shy, and please don’t go without! We look forward to welcoming you.“One love”
