Tragedy as person pronounced dead on Grimsby Railway
Police were called to the railway lines near to Pasture Street in Grimsby at around 2.37 this afternoon following reports of a serious incident.
Multiple emergency service vehicles including police and air and road ambulances were called and remain at the scene. Network Rail’s Response Unit were also in attendance.
Now, it has sadly been confirmed that a person has died.
Multiple emergency service vehicles including police and ambulance, are currently on scene at the tracks near Pasture Street following an incident on the railway lines.
A British Transport spokesman said:
“British Transport Police were called to the line near Grimsby at 2.37pm today (10 November) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are currently working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
