Teenager charged after Holton Le Clay stabbing
Following a dramatic stabbing in Holton Le Clay, a 19-year-old man from Grimsby has been charged with attempted murder.
George Swallow, of Lindsey Drive, Holton Le Clay, has been charged with the offence after a man sustained suspected stab wounds, with another charge of possessing a bladed weapon being brought against him.
Lincolnshire Police attended the quiet village after a man stumbled into a nearby pub, The Royal Oak.
Crime scene investigators arrived at the scene shortly after on Monday, 14 November.
Later on in the evening, a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. On Tuesday 15 November, officers attended the scene to search for the weapon in the area.
Swallow was charged at around 11.20pm on Tuesday, when he was remanded into custody, and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today.
A police statement said: “We have charged a 19-year-old man with attempted murder following an incident in Holton-Le-Clay which has left a man in hospital with suspected stab wounds. George Swallow, of Lindsey Drive, Holton-Le-Clay, Grimsby, has also been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place.
“The charges were brought at 11.20pm last night (November 15) following a swift and thorough investigation by the initial attending response officers together with Louth Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Swallow has been remanded into custody and will appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today.”
