Teenager in court after stabbing left man in ‘serious condition’

A teenager has appeared in court after a dramatic incident involving the stabbing of a 20-year-old.

The accused appeared in court charged with attempted murder following the stabbing in Holton Le Clay.

A man in his 20s was found with stab injuries on Louth Road in Holton-le-Clay, near Grimsby, at about 17:30 GMT on Monday.

George Swallow, 19, of Lindsey Drive, Holton-le-Clay, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

A plea was not entered by Swallow or his representatives, and he was remanded into custody.

Swallow is to appear before Lincoln Crown Court on 14 December.

Mr Swallow has also been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place.

Locals in Holton-le-Clay were left astounded after a suspected stabbing and attempted murder took place outside a local pub.

On the evening of (14 November) at roughly 5:30 pm Lincolnshire police were called to a suspected stabbing after a man in his 20s had been found injured in Louth Road.

The man received medical treatment at the scene and was in a serious condition.

A significant police presence was deployed to the scene as officers worked to catch those responsible.

At the time, Lincolnshire Police: “We have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a suspected stabbing in Holton-Le-Clay this evening.

“He was arrested in Grimsby a short time ago and remains in police custody. We believe this to be an isolated incident, and the people believed to be involved were known to each other.

“We continue to carry out enquiries in the local area, and would ask anyone with information to come forward.”
