Full-day closure set for works on busy A18 road

North East Lincolnshire Council has given notice for a series of planned works that are to take place on a busy A18 road.

The council intends to form a topographical survey and routine maintenance works on A18 Barton Street, between the A46 Laceby Crossroads Roundabout and Grainsby Lane junction.

The work will include renewal of existing road markings, minor carriageway repairs, drainage repairs and maintenance, vegetation cutting and sign cleaning.

A road closure is required to carry out this work ‘safely and efficiently.’ The road closure will be in place between the A46 Laceby Crossroads Roundabout and the junction of the A18 and the A16. A diversion will be in place between the A46 and the A16.

NELC listed access to residential properties and business premises within the closure will be maintained, however please note the following:

• Access between Brigsley and East Ravendale will be maintained across Ashby Hill roundabout throughout the closure.

• Access to Laceby Manor, Oaklands Garden Centre and Best Western Oaklands Hall will only be accessible from the A46 Laceby crossroads roundabout.

• Access to Willow Lakes Lodges and Landmark Café will be maintained via Ashby Hill roundabout.

• Access between Beelsby and Barnoldby le Beck will be maintained via the new A18 roundabout at the Waltham Road junction.

The road closure will be in place on Monday 28 November between 7am and 6pm, with the works taking only one day to complete.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed to advise motorists of the works. Local diversion routes for the closure will also be in place to direct motorists.
