The Post Office, opened today, November 25 at 1pm, at William’s Newsagents who welcomed a steady stream of customers even before its opening.

‘We’ve had positive feedback, people have been coming in for the last couple of weeks thinking it was here already, so we know we are going to have that customer base.’ she added.

Speaking at the time of the announcement a spokesperson for William’s said:”We are proud to announce we have been successful with our application to have the Cleethorpes Post office counter situated within our store. The counters should be installed some time over the next three months.

The Post Office will be replacing the Cleethorpes High Street premises which closed earlier this year following the resignation of the Post Master, much to the disappointment of locals.

Now, the facility opened its doors to the public earlier today which at 1pm.

The opening hours of the new branch will be Monday – Saturday: 9am – 5pm; Sunday: 9am – 1pm. This will offer 52 hours of Post Office service a week.

There will be two Post Office counters inside the convenience store.

Allison Wallace, Post Office Network Provision Manager, added: “We are delighted to be restoring a Post Office to this area as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
