Owen Wilson channels Bob Ross in new movie still
Owen Wilson channels Bob Ross in the first released still from the highly anticipated upcoming film, Paint.
The 54-year-old actor portrays a fictional television painter, which is said to be a comedy, with an ‘uncanny resemblance’ to Bob, who died on July 4, 1995, at age 52.
The film follows Carl Nargle, who has hosted the top painting show in Vermont for nearly three decades, according to the Daily Mail.
The station hires a new painter and Carl starts ‘doubting’ his talents as a painter.
Written and directed by Brit McAdams, who is making his feature film directorial debut, with stars Michaela Watkins, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ciara Renee, Lusia Strus and newcomer Lucy Freyer.
Paint is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 28 with distribution by IFC Films.
Owen also has a starring role in the upcoming supernatural horror comedy Haunted Mansion, which is adapted from ‘The Haunted Mansion’ theme park ride that first opened at Disneyland in 1969.
