Hundreds of homes set for approval despite mountain of objections
The construction of 200 new homes in a nearby village is set to be given the go ahead despite over 160 locals lodging objections due to concerns over local infrastructure.
The proposal was initially rejected following concerns that the development would be too isolated from the rest of the village. Now, a new modified version detailing the new estate off Ludborough Road in North Thoresby has been recommended for approval.
The plans were met with over 160 objections from people who were concerned about how the local road network would be affected, the environmental impact, flooding and infrastructure.
A number of amendments have been made as a result. These include the relocation of certain buildings, additional planting, realignment of footpaths and enhanced biodiversity.
Despite this objections are still pouring in.
A meeting is set to go ahead next Thursday.
Updates to follow.
