Pair arrested after woman stabbed on Nunsthorpe

A man and a young boy have been arrested by armed police following an incident on the Nunsthorpe on Monday evening.

According to reports a woman was hospitalised after she sustained serious injuries to her arm.

Residents reported seeing armed police surround a property in the Shelley Avenue / Tallert Way area.

Now, Humberside Police have said: “An investigation is ongoing after officers were called to attend an altercation between two men and a woman on Tallert Way in Grimsby at approximately 8.50pm on Monday December 5.

“The woman is reported to have been assaulted with bladed weapon and was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for a serious injury to her arm.

“Armed officers were in the area of Shelley Avenue, yesterday (Tuesday December 6) as a part of ongoing lines of investigation into the incident.

“A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody whilst our investigation continues.”
