Man charged with attempted murder after months on the run
A Grimsby man has been charged with attempted murder after he evaded police capture for almost a year.
Ashley Hutchinson, 33, of Earl Street in Grimsby, has been charged with attempted murder and two counts of affray.
Yesterday, Humberside Police announced that they had caught up with Hutchinson following an assault on the Nunsthorpe Estate which saw a female victim left in a serious condition.
According to reports the alleged assault occurred in the early hours of the morning of Saturday 16 April, on Milton Road.
The victim was found in the middle of the road outside the property when police arrived at the scene which was cordoned off by Crime Scene Investigators for several hours.
